Dean, The Fletcher School, Tufts University
Ambassador Bosworth is the dean of The Fletcher School at Tufts University. Prior to his appointment at The Fletcher School, he served as U.S. ambassador to the Republic of Korea (1997-2001), and earlier was the executive director of the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (1995-1997). Before joining KEDO, he was president of the United States Japan Foundation. Earlier, he served as ambassador to Tunisia and to the Philippines. He was also the State Department’s director of policy planning, principal deputy assistant secretary for inter-American affairs, and deputy assistant secretary for economic affairs. He is currently a member of the International Board of Advisers for the president of the Philippines, and is also a member of the boards of International Textile Group and Franklin Templeton Investment Trust Management Co. (Korea). He is based in Medford, Mass.
