Ana Palacio is senior vice president, international affairs and marketing, and a member of the Executive Committee at AREVA. Previously, she was senior vice president and World Bank Group general counsel. She was a member of the Spanish Parliament, where she chaired the Joint Committee of the two Houses for European Union Affairs. Previously, she served as Foreign Minister under Prime Minister José María Aznar. A lawyer by profession, she has held the most senior positions in the governing body of European lawyers (CCBE). She is a member of the Board of Trustees and former Executive President of the Academy of European Law (ERA); Distinguished Professor of the European College in Parma; and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Revue de Droit de l' Union européenne.
