A writer, broadcaster, and digital media pioneer on foreign and national security affairs, Moran is a former correspondent for the BBC, MSNBC, and Radio Free Europe. He now provides the editorial direction and analysis for CFR.org.

Honors:Michael Moran is a veteran journalist and award-winning former foreign correspondent. He is an adjunct professor at Bard College’s Center for Globalization and International Affairs, and a past Hearst New Media Fellow at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Moran also served for a decade on the board of the Overseas Press Club.
Selected Publications:Moran’s work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newsweek, the Economist, the Spectator (UK), the Guardian, the New Leader, on National Public Radio and in many other outlets. He has lectured at dozens of universities and think tanks around the worl.
