Vice President Dick Cheney’s energy task force is scheduled to release its report this Thursday, May 17. For an advance story or for the most accurate and comprehensive post-release interpretation, the Council on Foreign Relations can provide the most renowned energy experts to contribute to your coverage.
And the Council, together with the James A. Baker III Institute of Public Policy, recently released its own Independent Task Force titled, "Strategic Energy Policy: Challenges for the 21st Century." Over the course of several months, our independent energy task force convened experts from every segment of the world of energy -- producers, consumers, environmentalists, national security experts, and others -- and examined the same issues as those before Vice President Cheney’s energy task force.
